I’m not sure if you can tell by my expression, but I’m beyond excited to be baking in the fantastic new Fork Food Lab 2.0!
The possibilities that this beautiful new facility offers to me and so many other small business owners is staggering. Rotating ovens (one inaugural scone took a ride on day one!) so many convection ovens, my own dedicated space, storage galore, no more stairs (!), and a climate controlled environment places me miles away from where I started.
I practically have to squint to remember when I started baking for farmer’s markets in my parent’s kitchen, as a widow with 3 little kids. I’d bake into the night in an oven that held 2 quarter sheet pans at a time. If I filled all these new ovens at once, I could bake more than 50 *full* sheet pans at a time! 🥹
It’s going to take lots of continued hard work to keep my business growing, but I’m here for it and I’m ready! 👩🏻‍🍳 🌞
