"We've never had a group go through bottled water like yours!" This is what happens when you bring a largely California based company to Venice, Italy. =P Always funny to see how cultural differences collide. In Italy, they put bottles of water out on the table to pour into tiny little cups and our group was used to carrying around large personal bottles of water for the day, which everyone did. Glad we had negotiated bottled water inclusive in our meal costs lol

It's been almost a year since we hosted the company wide retreat for 15Five in Venice. We can still hear the romatic sounds of boat horns and splashing water from the canals. If only they could overnight those Pistachi Croissants to us back home.

Adventure Story: Living in South Lake Tahoe and enjoying everything the Sierra Nevadas have to offer has been an adventure all its own. I’m able to spend my summers zip lining, paddle boarding, parasailing and more without having to drive more than 20 minutes from my house. My favorite excursion of all was a hot air balloon ride over the lake. It is the only hot air balloon in the world that launches and lands back on a boat, which made it a truly singular experience. The wind took us over the meadows towards the Carson Valley and back over the gorgeous turquoise waters of Tahoe, and we reached an elevation of about 12,000 feet! After we landed, we had a champagne toast with our pilot as he recited the balloonists prayer: “The winds have welcomed you with softness. The sun has blessed you with his warm hands. You have flown so high and so well that God joined you in laughter and set you gently back into the loving arms of Mother Earth.”

Meet our newest Team Member Gary Griffis! As Special Projects Coordinator, he'll be directly supporting co-founder Noah Rainey on special projects within our Virtual Events Department.

When he's not working you'll likely find him either in the ocean or on a mountain. Recently he has gotten into free diving and spends most free weekends exploring underwater in Big Sur.

Adventure Story: "In April 2019, I was on a 40 day mountaineering trip in the Northern Indian Himalayas. Three weeks into the expedition a major storm moved in. We had taken two days of rest to acclimate to the high altitude. On the morning we were supposed to keep moving, the storm hit and trapped us. We ended up bearing a white out blizzard in our tents for 11 days. We ran out of all our main food except flour and a few other basic items. While this sounds scary, our trip leaders were extremely experienced back country cooks and taught us how to bake bread from scratch. We played cards, baked bread, and shoveled snow for the remainder of the blizzard. I left the Himalayas with a couple great new perspectives and skills including never taking the California sun for granted and the ability to bake bread from scratch! "

You can almost hear the screams of laughter through the screen on these ones

Sometimes the Giant Jenga Set just sits there and people are too shy to get started. The trick is to start recruiting people, coaxing them in by challenging them, make the rules clear (Only one hand can be used at one time, and the top must always retain 3 completed rows) then let the games begin! =) Do playfully call people out if they try to break the rules.
