While knee-deep in odoriferous bait, working as a stern-woman aboard her husband’s lobster boat, Tenley tried to envision a way to capture the “romance” of the fishing process. The result: recycling lobster shells to create a beautiful piece of jewelry that celebrates the tradition behind this demanding industry.

“There is nothing more beautiful to me than sparkling shells upon a shore,” shares t

he artist. “Capturing this glistening beauty and commemorating this Maine icon is what I try to embrace in the creation of each unique piece of jewelry.”

Taking her inspiration from lobster and mussel shells and the sheer beauty and wonder of the Maine coastline, Tenley designs jewelry that captures the beauty that only nature can create. In her jewelry, she combines her passion for the sea with her artistic spirit.

“Whether you wake in the early morning to the sound of lobster boats heading out to haul, are relishing the memories of a clam bake on the rocky coast or simply want to take a piece of “summer” home, this jewelry showcases one of the many reasons we hold this place dear.”

It was great to see so many familiar faces today!!! If you didn't snag it at the fair, we still have a bit of lobster meat left over. 1/2 pound containers of picked lobster meat- super fresh- super tasty! 7 pounds to sell. $40 per half pound. $70 per pound! Great deal!!!

All proceeds go to South Bristol 8th grade fundraising for their DC Trip. ❤️

The annual Craft and Tent sale at the South Bristol Union Congregational Church is August 1st!!! Bell rings at 9am. Lobster roll meals for $20!!! And- some fun surprises from Lobster Designs! Unveiling our Maine sensory play mixes and the newest notecard designs- tomorrow will be a GREAT day. Hope to see you there. 9am-1pm. ❤️

We're pumped for the beautifully curated show at the Round Pond School House tomorrow, Saturday July 11th, 10:00am-3:00pm. Here is a sneak peak of some of the beautiful pottery, woven blankets, gorgeous bags, scarves, art, wooden bowls, and so much more!!!

We'll be there with a special, limited showcase of our new hoops! These hearts would be perfect for your Valentine!! ❤️❤️❤️

These hearts are an intricate woven design with crushed lobster shell. Hearts measure 1.5" across and 1.5" in height. Hoops are 1" brass. $45.
