In celebration of International Economic Development Council's Economic Development Week, our next Black-owned business that we are recognizing as part of ALL IN St. Tammany, St. Tammany Corporation's equitable economic development initiative, and one of St. Tammany's Champions of Economic Development is D Taste of Elegance located in Slidell, Louisiana.
Owned and Operated by Danielle Jordan, D Taste of Elegance specializes in Luxury Wedding Cakes, Custom Cakes for all occasions, Custom Treats, Fresh Baked Desserts, and Chocolate Covered Strawberries.
Her love for creating custom treats and making cakes started some years ago while planning her daughter's birthday party. She decided to make Chocolate Covered Strawberries and Chocolate Apples as party favors. Having had so much fun with that experience, every week from then on, she learned how to create new desserts and began making treats for family and friends. She then took things a little more seriously, taking new training classes to enhance her client's experience, and in November 2021, Danielle turned her hobby into her passion and opened her first storefront.
