Almost a year and a half ago, Jim and his sister Lisa reached out to me about making the cake for their parents’ 60th wedding anniversary. It’s hard to believe that the day we had been anticipating for so long, finally came!

Being trusted to be a part of such a meaningful family celebration is something I never take for granted. Sixty years of marriage is a beautiful testament to love, commitment, family, and a lifetime of memories made together.

And to make the day even more special, the 60th anniversary fell on their Dad’s 80th birthday—so of course, he needed a special cake of his own!
Thank you, Jim and Lisa, for trusting me to add sweetness to these milestones.

My heart sank when I realized I didn’t get a single picture of the wedding cake and cupcakes I made for my childhood friend’s wedding. 🥺
I was wearing so many hats that day - constantly moving and making sure everything was perfect. I got caught up in celebrating her and being there for her that I completely forgot to stop and take pictures of the things I had poured so much love into making. But then my husband surprised me and said, “Don’t worry… I took pictures for you.”
He knew how much it meant to me. While I was busy loving and celebrating my friend, he quietly thought ahead and captured what I had forgotten.
Sometimes it’s the little things that remind you just how loved and supported you are. 💜
