I've gone to write this so many times and have erased, or stopped myself, or changed my mind. But, its something I need to do.

I have to put LKC on the back burner for awhile.

It began as my outlet, my 'me time'....but in effort of being 100% transparent, I'm a mom first and foremost and I'm tired. I cant be the best mom I can be, the best wife I can be, and still put my best self into the cakes and such I create. Time is one thing we cannot get back and I feel like I'm always consumed with something that tears my attention away whats most important.

I know some of you have already booked orders with me as far as next year, and I will fulfill those as promised.

I have hopes of being back in the springtime, but I cant say for sure at this time.

I apologize for any inconvenience and hope you all can understand. 💕

I've been horrible about posting pictures of cakes....not for lack of baking, but who has time to chase kids, bake, and take pictures of anything other than your cute new addition? Not this girl!

But, I snapped a quick shot of this one before it went out the door, and now I want to put pumpkins and donuts on all my cakes 🍩🎃

Last year I used LKC to reach out to the Sherman families to see if any had kids that would be entering preschool with my girls, in hopes of introducing them to make the start of school a little less intimidating...

Little did I know when I did this, I'd be meeting some of the best women I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. One of the hardest things about the quarantine has been missing them! Drop off & pick up chats, breakfast dates, and an occasional mom's night out had become some of the things I looked forward to most....I cant wait until we can pick up where we left off!

So, I will gladly make a cake if I can sneak in a socially distanced hello 😉

I had the pleasure of getting to know Emma and her mom through NMHS marching band. To say theyll be missed next year would be an understatement. To celebrate Emma's years of dedication to the band, this cake has pieces of each show performed over the last four years. Rainforest, Green Machine, Mirage, and Twilight Zone.
