Okay, this is one of those little grocery swaps that just makes sense.
I was buying the Great Value pre-made sausage patties for $10.82 for 35.6 oz.
This time I grabbed 3 tubes of ground sausage for $2.94 each and made my own on the griddle.
That gave me 48 oz for $8.82—and the same amount of pre-made patties would’ve cost around $14.58. So I saved about $5.76!
It took me maybe 30 minutes to cook them all, and I stuck the extras in the freezer for easy breakfasts.
And honestly, I like the ingredient list better too. The ground sausage has just 6 ingredients, compared to 11 in the pre-made patties, including no BHA or propyl gallate.
Nothing fancy—just a little batch cooking that saves money and makes mornings easier.
