A friend watched on and was compelled to find meat that was produced in a humane way. He discovered White Oak Pastures in Georgia who can ship orders over $100 for just $9.95. The meat is delicious and less of a carbon footprint to our planet. They are passionate about providing humane animal management. The animals live a healthy life, eat a nutritious diet and are handled with natural care for the duration of their life.
As heartbreaking as it is to watch this award winning film, I hope that it will inspire you too to be conscious consumers!

In an isolated Covid world where we are missing meaningful connections I stepped into the “Land of Enchantment”to visit Mamma Leonard and her talented cubs at their enriching encampment The Garden Compound in Sante Fe, NM. Sharing food, wine, hikes and 2021 projects, we conjured up hope for a future that seems bleak at times. Reuniting from four corners of the States we found ourselves cocooned from the havoc that is happening before us on the screens. Riots, division, sedition exploding while we walked the where the Ancestral Pueblo People lived for thousands of years. Although NM is a buzz with national laboratories researching Covid, military installations, secret research facilities, Spaceport, AI leadership Sante Fe is in complete commercial lockdown which provided refuse from this fractured world. Thank you Danielle, Maddie and Bella for sharing your piece of paradise with me.

Hiking in Malibu mountains is like coming home, being at peace and oneness. The wide expanse of cliffs that crash into the sea you feel the essence of ancient lives where the Chumash Indians inhabited four thousand years ago. Chumash means “seashell🐚 people”, a matriachal society, where men and women served equally as chiefs and priests and recognized their dependency on the world around them.

Three basic laws guided the Chumash:
Limitation - Each individual should recognize and accept his or her limitations and not envy those of others. Each member of the tribe should be happy in their abilities, for they all had equal value in the community.
Moderation - Take only what you need from the land and the ocean. Leave some for future days and future peoples. The same goes for your tasks; better to take your time than make a mistake which would render all your work useless.
Compensation - Give without expecting anything in return, give from the kindness of your heart and recognize the fact that compensation comes in many forms which are not always tangible
We have so much to learn.
