- Perform heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish.
- Performing routine maintenance activities, notifying management of need for repairs, and cleaning snow or debris from sidewalk.

We're hiring a talented Assistant Cook for Bread House Bakery & Coffee Shop.

Duties and responsibilities include:

- Perform food storage tasks, both incoming stock and leftovers.
- Assist in unloading delivery trucks and ensuring that food is stored in the appropriate conditions.
- Determine if leftovers of either prepared or partially prepared food can be reused or if they must be disposed of.
- Testing recipes (help Head cook test new recipes).
- Record supply use (keep track of what supplies they use to aid in re-ordering supplies as necessary).
- Clean and prepare cooking station (ensure that at all items are appropriately cleaned and ready for use before and after each shift and keep the station in working order and fully stocked).
- Assist Head Cook in food preparation (prepare items prior, such as chopping vegetables).
- Maintain sanitation standards (ensure that the kitchen meets sanitation standards as set by the Head Cook and local regulatory bodies).
