The most overlooked constraint in wedding design is not the color palette or the selection of flowers; rather, it is time. Prior to finalizing your venue, it is essential to conduct an audit of the Setup Window.

As a designer, I regard the vision as a comprehensive project. A complex, sculptural installation necessitates a specific “labor-to-time” ratio. Many venues offer a designated setup time limit for vendors, with opportunities for couple to purchase additional hours in some cases. (important part to check ✔️)

Although proficient designers can craft beauty under pressure, a “rushed” design incurs additional costs. If your setup time is inadequate, you are not merely paying for flowers; you are also compensating for the increased labor required to create a masterpiece within a reduced time frame.

[The Designer’s Tip]
Ask about the setup hours before you sign the contract. These aren’t ‘hidden fees’ intentionally, but they are a logistical reality. Reexamine an extra two hours of setup time upfront is often more cost-effective than paying for the army of additional staff needed to beat a 120-minute clock.

A ceremony shaped by the land itself 🌿
We let the forest lead—layering soft whites, mossy greens, and long, wandering lines that feel as if they grew here naturally. Flowers rising, spilling, and resting on the ground, creating a moment that feels intimate, organic, and quietly powerful.

Nothing overly polished. Nothing forced.
Just movement, texture, and blooms breathing with the trees as they witnessed two people promise forever.

This is one of my favorite ways to design—when florals don’t just decorate a space, but belong to it 🤍
