This is a non-profit event that will be held on Sunday September 6, 2026 at the Enmarket Arena. The event will start at 9:00am. We will begin with a brief opening ceremony followed by the start of the climb at 9:15am. The stair climb will conclude once the last participant completes 110 flights. We will have mild refreshments on site and encourage participants to gather after the event at another location yet to be determined for fellowship and camaraderie.

The 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb is an annual event to honor and remember those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001. First responders, military, civilians, children, and all of those affected by this heartbreaking event 25 years ago are encouraged to join us.

Savannah Fire units responded to Newell Street in West Savannah last night at 12:36am for reports of a structure fire. While responding, PD units arrived on scene and advised of a “fully involved” house fire. Engine 4 was the first suppression unit on location and confirmed a working fire. Personnel deployed a 2.5” hose line and began flowing water from the A-side exterior in an effort to knock down the fire and protect the neighboring home. Engine 3 was next on the scene and stretched an 1.3/4” hose to make an interior attack and shield Rescue 1 who was conducting a primary search. Companies worked with haste and the fire was under control within about ten minutes. No injuries were reported.
