We are saddened to learn of the passing of the dedicated and kind Mary Lou Butera in January. Mary Lou was a longtime staff member of SHS as the very well respected Activities Director. Her office kept all things "extracurricular" completely organized and made sure we all had our ASB cards, yearbooks, dance dates scheduled, and payments made, among many other behind the scenes duties.

Our 1982 Talisman was dedicated to her and we were thrilled that she was able to stop by our 40-ish reunion prior to the festivities last July.

Her Life Celebration is being held April 19th at 2 pm at the Saratoga Federated Church in Saratoga with reception immediately following

Hello Classmates!

The SHS Class of ‘82 "40-ish" Reunion was a success and a blast punctuated with laughter, dancing and glowsticks!

Thank you to all who attended (154 people!) including classmates from coast to coast and international travelers alike, representing Australia, England, Norway, and Turkey! We sure missed those who were unable to attend, and look forward to seeing you at the next one.

A special Thank You to all who contributed to the event with the kind funding donations, decor, venue support, volunteer time, photography, musical talent and endless wine offerings.

Thanks to all 154 Falcons and guests who were in attendance to share in the 40th Reunion fun on Saturday 7/29! Sunday at Hapas Brewery was also a fun gather! We are still receiving uploads of pics & vids to DropEvent and hope to get the gallery out to all classmates in a few days!

Hello Class of ’82 Falcons!

In THREE short days we will have our 40ish Reunion and we are looking forward to seeing you all! If you already have your tickets, we will have proof of purchase at the door, so you are good to go!

If you still need a ticket they are available for $180 at the class website www.shs1982.com, or you can purchase at the door for $200 with cash or Venmo. You don’t want to miss this one! A reminder that everyone will need a ticket to get in!

Here are a few tips and information and a timeline of events to help make this the most awesome reunion:

TICK TOCK !

Time is swiftly ticking by to purchase your SHS 1982 40-ish Reunion ticket before the price increases! This festive event being held on July 29th at the La Rinconada Country Club is approaching quickly.

When the clock strikes Midnight on July 15th, the price will rise from $160 to $180. And if you wait any further, the price at the door will be $200. Procrastination may have worked when studying at SHS, but you don't want to do that now. 😉

Can you believe it's less than 82 days until we party like it’s 1982?! That’s right, the 40th SHS 1982 reunion is almost here and we have some exciting announcements!

So far we have sold over 100 tickets for the reunion with alumni coming from all over the world including Australia, England, Norway and Turkey!

If you have already bought tickets, we can’t wait to see you on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at the La Rinconada Country Club in Los Gatos!

Update! Tickets Now Include:

· Wine Tasting! Starts at 5:30pm featuring generous donations by some of our classmates!

· Live music by Handlebar Frankenstein! (Andrew Roberts, Jim Callahan, Bill Fairey, Marc Spooner, and Ned Jackson — with surprise guests)

If you haven’t bought tickets you have two days left, until April 30, to get tickets at our early bird rate of $140 before the prices go up May 1. If you buy tickets May 1-July 15, they are $160, then $200 after July 15.

Hello Fellow Falcons,

We have two big class announcements today!!

The first is that our new updated website is online and ready to go! It is at www.shs1982.com and is full of amazing information. Thanks to David Halverson and Patty Ballingall Snyder, this update is sure to take you back to the days of SHS and the Class with Class!

The second announcement, and it’s a big one, is that tickets for the SHS Class of 1982 40th Reunion are now on sale! The big night is Saturday, July 29, 2023 at the La Rinconada Country Club in Los Gatos!

We are very excited about the venue and want to thank Dianne (Huff) Stokes for making it possible for us to be at La Rinconada. The reunion will include a wine tasting, music by Handlebar Frankenstein (Andrew Roberts, Jim Callahan, Bill Fairey, Marc Spooner, and Ned Jackson — with surprise guests), a photo booth, several food stations, a no host bar and a gelato cart! That, in addition to reuniting with so many alumni, will make it a fantastic evening.

Early bird tickets are $140 if you purchase now through April 30, $160 from May 1-July 15, and $200 after. Tickets can be bought at the class website www.shs1982.com. You can also make donations to help other alumni and teachers come to the reunion on the website as well.
