How it all started

I started baking when I was very young with my mother. We typically would make traditional German desserts since that is where she grew up. Around Christmas was the time of year we would make dozens of cookies and I always looked forward to it. Once I moved into my own home I was so excited to start my own baking traditions. This became even harder when my husband Saul got diagnosed with Celiac. I was not going to give up my love for baking because of this though, so I decided to explore gluten free baking. I made it my goal to try and master this area, and show that gluten free does not mean you have to give up on texture and flavor. Going through the process of essentially relearning to bake made me fall in love with it all over again, and I started to really explore the world of sweets. Now I enjoy making all kinds of desserts and want to be able to share my flavors with other people who may not get to enjoy sweets due to having an allergy, or just due to personal lifestyle choices. My favorite comment to hear is, "There is no way this is gluten free!"
