Cottage Bakers, earn $2500 in October!
Cottage bakers: an extra $2,500 in October can become more realistic when you stop trying to sell everything to everyone.
Choose a small fall menu. Create one hero dessert box. Add easy upgrades. Give customers time-sensitive reasons to order for Halloween, gifting, game days, offices, teachers, and fall gatherings.
One example:
25 fall dessert boxes at $45 = $1,125
20 Halloween gift boxes at $35 = $700
15 cinnamon roll dozens at $30 = $450
Add-ons and delivery = $225
That is $2,500 in October sales.
Your numbers will depend on your capacity, pricing, cost of ingredients, local market, packaging, delivery plan, and cottage-food rules. The point is to build a realistic order plan before the month begins—not to rely on last-minute sales.

Cottage Bakers! Make $500 Profit at your fall pop-up!

The goal is not simply selling $500 of cookies. True profit is what remains after ingredients, packaging, supplies, payment fees, and your time.

A simple target:
Aim for about 1,000 in sales
Keep ingredients + packaging at 30% or less
Build your menu around $32–$45 treat boxes
Pre-sell at least 70% before you bake
Keep only 4–6 repeatable products on the menu

You do not need a giant crowd. You need higher-value orders, limited quantities, and a plan that pays you for your work.
