Hi friends! I just wanted to give you all an update. When we started Sugar Lips (way back to 2007)it was just a fun little side hustle for us to make some extra cash. Little did we know how far we’d come these last 13 years. But, it’s looks as though 2020 is the year where we say “so long”. It hasn’t been an easy decision. We’ve had so much fun, seen so many weddings, made some good dough 🤑🍩, and met some amazing people along the way and just when we think we’re crushing this dounut biz, a pandemic hits and everything comes to a halt. With all the uncertainty of the future, a the public market taking forever, we just can’t keep holding on. But one thing this pandemic has taught us is I can’t quit my day job! We have served the amazing staff at French Hospital the past 4 years for their hospital week celebration but we are especially humbled and so incredibly thankful to be serving them this year. ❤️ 🏥 👩🏻‍⚕️ 👨‍⚕️ 🍩

Hi friends! First off (since I know most of you won’t read all of this). How cute is this illustration made by the insanely talented She’s amazing!! Check her out.
I wanted to let you all know that we’re still alive and still in business. I’ve been so amazed by all you small business owners handling this pandemic like a bad ass boss. Honestly, l’m kinda scared to even open my emails 😫. Thankfully I still have a full time job at French Hospital (I’m not a nurse). Anyways, we’re longing for the day when we can get back to farmers market AND we’re still planning on going into the SLO Public Market (maybe sometime this year-ish?) Hi!! I thought it would be a good time to re-introduce ourselves since we’ve had a few new followers the last few days. We are Ben and Jessica Brown. The owners of Sugar Lips. We’ve been slingin’ donuts since 2007 every Thursday night at Downtown Farmers market. 5 years ago we added a little vintage trailer to the family, took our show on the road and brought our little donut making machine to hundreds of weddings, corporate events, and festivals. And now we are so excited to finally have a permanent location at the new opening this Winter. It’s been a wild ride and we can’t thank you all enough for your love,support, and encouragement these past 12 years. Like the old saying goes...”All you need is love and a donut.” 🍩❤️ 📸
