I had some ups & downs preparing for this pop-up and even some tears but overall, more ups than downs. It was my first time at an outdoor pop-up and I'm happy I did it at . People were so friendly & supportive, the breeze was refreshing and the energy carried me through. A lot of friends came through to support me this week and I'm am feeling so blessed to have such a wonderful community behind me, rooting for my success.
To everyone who tried my buns, maybe it wasn't perfect but I am constantly trying to improve. To the vegans who miss these types of items after going vegan, I hope I was able to give you back a piece of your childhood if it was a part of it. To the non-vegans, I hope you felt it was a comparable experience and consider supporting a more plant-based lifestyle.
My goal is to give vegans a piece of their childhood back to them. I am always feeling left out at Asian bakeries who don't even consider people who don't want eggs or dairy in their food. I want people to know that it is possible and it can be done and you don't have to be left out of your culture & traditions. You should be rewarded for going plant-based, not punished.
Shout out to , and for helping me prep, to .reina for making this possible & holding my hand, to for anchoring me when I felt like I was floating away, to Chona for allowing me to bake in her beautiful kitchen, and to for assisting me with my new POS system. Could not have gotten through it all alone. And thank you to all the friends & followers who came just to support me!! You know who you are.
