Margo 𓅛

The Margo quad is a large quad template, designed for progressive, stylish surfing for larger and more powerful surfers.

The large upright fronts fins pair with more raked trailers to have a nice balance between maneuverability and control.

Design process; Margo had been riding our peregrine quads and enjoying them. Based on his feedback and suggestions we sized up the fronts and modified the outline by adding some rake in the top half of the fins.

The trailers were also sized up significantly and are a hybrid of three different trailer templates that Margo tried.

If you have different sets of fins I would mix it up and try something that has a bit more width or base on the toe side and on the heel side something that’ll either allow you to pivot or give you better hold depending on your waves. The point being, experiment and mix it up, what do you have to lose.

The Wolverine Twin was designed with for use overhead plus surf. Using the same general outline as his standard twin but by increasing the rake on the fronts and the moving the stabilizer back 1/2”, these will have more hold and control in bigger surf.

These will also work well on your standard thruster or a twin that feels a little too loose.

Taylor’s Arc Series Twins have wide bases, are relatively upright and utilize a hatchet style tip. These design characteristics bring balance to the template. You can expect these twins to be speed generating, offering down the line drive from the take off and through turns. The hatchet style tip will ensure that you can carve and stay on rail through the fullness of your turns. You won’t have to baby your board through the last 1/3 of turns; these fins will help you stay locked in; allowing for more fluid, graceful surfing.

Paired with our proprietary SeriesIII foiling and Apex Series construction Taylor’s Arc Series twins are going to be as high quality and performance as you’ll find anywhere on the market. Unlike molded fins, we make no compromises with the foiling of these fins. They are 100% built for speed.

Longtime surfer/shaper has cemented his place as one of San Diego’s most talented and respected custom board builders over the course of the past 4-5 decades.

He started doing ding repair at the age of 13, and shaped his first board during the summer of 1971.

Stu Kenson has cultivated a dedicated, worldwide following and is know for his performance shortboards, big wave guns, longboards and various other alternative board designs (single, twin fish, winzer and mid-length board).

The one of the specific realms in which Stu has set himself apart from the pack is Twinzers.

It’s been an honor to work with Stu to develop his Twinzer templates… now for the better part of the last decade.

The twins are a well balanced upright performance template that work well as stand alone twins in a range of boards and conditions.

The canards come from Stu’s work with Wil Jobson and function to idealize water flow for the twins, which are the main drivers for Twinzer setups.

Think of TWINZERS as the functional happy, medium between twins, and quads with the looseness and skatiness of twins and the drive and bite commonly associated with quads.

Both twins and canards in large and small.
