Celebrating Fallout’s new season 🤩

To be quite honest, I made these Macarons about a a year before the first season came out, then I moved to San Diego, life happened, my creative endeavors expanded & they have been in my freezer for 3 years HAHA it was time to let them see the light of day and what a perfect way to celebrate them with the new season 🤭 I couldn’t let all my hard work go to waste. The detail on the lunchbox alone 🥹, I’m not only extremely proud of how it turned out, but how long they’ve lasted 😂

I can’t necessarily say that I’m fully “back” but I do find myself missing baking and painting. I would love to slowly incorporate this Art form in my life again 💕 To those that are still here, thank you all for your amazing support throughout the years, and to anyone just finding me, welcome ☺️

Together we are celebrating the release of the episode where we will see the first appearance of Gear 5, in all its animated glory. We’re so excited to watch such an important turning point in Luffy’s journey!

Celebrating Asian American and Pacific Islander Month, Macaron Art is partnering with local AAPI businesses by releasing a limited edition box creating a highlight for their business.

Why is it important? There are over 20 million Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders that provide so many huge contributions to our communities, businesses, and families, so we take this month to recognize their influence, history, and culture.

The idea behind this project is that we can use our platform as a gallery to bring awareness to others who might not get the spotlight they deserve otherwise. By partnering with local AAPI businesses in the community and creating a limited edition box highlighting their business, we hope to do just that!

We're excited about this project because it means more than just selling delicious boxes: we're connecting with real people who make up the fabric of our society.

There are a lot of ways to support the San Diego AAPI community. One of the easiest is to spend your dollars at AAPI-owned restaurants, shops, and other businesses. Mira Mesa is one of the destinations to get a taste of so many diverse cultures all in one place! Check out the featured restaurants below!

Paw patrol painted macarons - process

Man this was a challenge 😂 to paint a mini mural on 12 macarons took a span of 36 hours split into 3 days. Here are the steps I took to plan this out.

-Used a projector to map out the outlines
-Mapped out where the eyes were for each character
-Painted the background
-Painted each character
-Outlined the characters in black
-Placed their eyes
-Used a projector to place the text with royal icing (super tiny point for small lettering 👀)

A successful turnout! My tips for you if you are doing similar work:
-Make a task list to plan the design out
-Make numerous small breaks for your body! I had to stay aware of how my neck, wrists, and back felt during the process.
-Have super small brushes
-Plan enough days to spread apart your tasks 😂 the great thing is, you can freeze them to keep their texture!
