Day 3 @ Be+Well ! 🙌🏽

Being here has been such a great experience. I’ve been absorbing all the information I can while I’m here! As someone who loves offering haircuts, lash lifts, and brow laminations - Be+Well was the perfect convention. They also had knowledgeable classes touching on the business side like social media, finance, a marketing.

Even though I’m 10 years into being a cosmetologist, I truly believe it’s important to continue our education. The industry is constantly changing! I heard a quote this weekend, “trends educate us, not define us.” While following trends can be tedious, by following them you can learn from them. Even if you think you know it all, an experience like this can still be beneficial no matter the industry.

I took so much from my last class taught by . Presley provided a unique perspective to styling and is such an authentic, cool stylist.

Had some time to visit the booth in the expo and I’m so excited to use the thermal velcro rollers for blowouts! 😍

After the convention, I finally checked out the on the strip. It was a cool immersive digital experience!

To wrap up the day, I had a quick dinner at 88 Sushi & Ramen! During the trip I wanted to support small, local businesses as much as I could and I’m so glad I did because each place was a hit! 😁

Day 2 @ Be+Well ! 🙌🏽

If you’re new here, I’m sharing my experience as someone who was traveling solo for the first time and attending an event at the Las Vegas Convention Center because I wish I had something to refer to while planning my trip.

I learned from the day before and took the monorail! Parked at the Sahara (for free!) and purchased a two-day pass for the monorail. The pass allows unlimited use all day to different parts of the strip and arrives every 8 mins!

Classes were great. My first class was about beards with where he taught us about consultation, shaving, and shaping. Second class was a cutting class with and Angel totally expanded my perspective about haircutting. Dropping gems left and right!!! 🤯 & my third class was a haircutting demo I stumbled across at the booth taught by . Super cool experience with having the headphones and watching others follow along.

I was so locked in that I forgot to record, but I was able to walk around the expo more! I got to chat with about which is absolutely amazing. Their mission is to educate industry professionals to better serve clients that are on the spectrum. I look forward to learning more from them and I look forward to watching them improve our industry 🙌🏽

I also got to speak with representatives from about their Korean Lash Lifting systems! I was able to purchase some samples and I’m excited to test them out!

After the show, I stopped by in hopes of seeing the mermaid show and to grab a hat hehe 😬

Day 1 @ Be+Well !! 🙌🏽

Sharing my experience as someone who has never traveled solo and hasn’t been to an event of this scale in 10-11 years lol (my first one was - a makeup show!) I wish I had something to refer to when it came to the Las Vegas Convention Center and Be+Well so hopefully I can help someone else for their future trip.

I’ve been to Vegas PLENTY of times, but this was a completely new experience this time. I’m familiar with my surroundings, but my parents have always driven us around. For the first day, I decided to take a chance on the LVCC parking lots, but they were all full. My Be+Well welcome email did mention to come at least a hour early, but even 1 1/2 hours early was still cutting it close with all the pivoting haha 😅 thankful that Westgate had the Vegas/Tesla Loop (you’ll pay for event parking @ Westgate + loop fees) which was a really cool experience!

My first class was taught by and she is an amazing teacher, trichologist, and entrepreneur!
My second and third classes were with .cathy about Korean Lash Lifting and for Brow Laminations-both were a great refresher! Classes took most of the day so I was only able to do a rough walk through of the expo to gauge what to pin for the rest of the weekend.

So much to take in, but in the best ways!! I’m here for ALL the learning experiences 😁👍🏽

Ended the day with dinner at .lv and it was delicious! Vibes were super cute and staff was great 😊

Join me on my road trip from San Diego to in Las Vegas!

Such great way to start the trip. Checking out a couple spots I’ve always seen, but never stopped at and of course setting the energy for the rest of the weekend 😁🙌🏽

Stay tuned for the rest of the weekend where I’ll be sharing my experience traveling solo (for the first time ever lol) and what it’s like getting around LV for an event at the Las Vegas Convention Center. This is first and foremost a business trip, but while I’m here I wanted to make sure I still had some fun and checked out some local businesses!
