Dear Beloved Community,

As I reflect on the last four years, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering support of Simply Rosey. It all began during the pandemic when I found joy in baking sourdough while on furlough. Your encouragement and love helped this little home bakery thrive beyond my expectations.

With many life changes, I've realized that I’m ready to embrace something different. Though this chapter is coming to a close, I always cherish the memories we created together. I still bake but mostly for friends and family nowadays. The content of this page will shift from being a cottage bakery to a food/baking blog and a recognition for other amazing businesses.

Thank you for being such an important part of this journey. Your support has meant the world to me. May you all have a joyous holiday season.

Re-introducing artisan sourdough bread perfect for toasts (fits wonderfully in your toaster) and sandwiches 🥪 (think even slices.) This bread is not new as I have been baking this way for my family since last year. Recently I offered it as an option to test the market, and the positive feedback I received made me decide to keep it. So there you go, my dear faithful friends, I will continue with it and still have the boule if you request it. Thank you for supporting this humble bakery.

Ube, or purple yam, holds a special place in Filipino cuisine, known for its vibrant color and sweet, earthy flavor. Coconut, a staple ingredient in many Filipino dishes, adds richness and complements the ube beautifully. I grew up enjoying this combination of flavors so I made a sandwich loaf in order to prolong the nostalgic feeling, 😊

The sourdough process provides a tangy undertone that complements the sweetness of the homemade ube halaya (jam) and coconut. Overall, it's a delightful combination of flavors and textures, making it both visually appealing and deliciously different from traditional sourdough bread.

Now, can someone please pass the butter...or coconut jam? 😋

Dill pickle sourdough - Lately, my kids have been enjoying dill 🥒so I thought this combo will be fun in a bread. Indeed, it was so good as avocado toast, sandwich, or even topped with 🧀. Yum!
