LAST CHANCE BISCUIT PICK UP ANNOUNCEMENT
It is with mountains of gratitude that we are announcing our final biscuit pick up. After more than three years, we are putting this business on an indefinite break.
First, the good news. You can place your order here https://forms.gle/yXLAi78rVySVEZQ86 for pick up on December 20, 2025 10am-1pm in Mahtomedi. Biscuits are only available frozen by the dozen for $30 each dozen. Stock up while you can!
To explain why we are taking this break, we want to tell you all what has been going on with this brand. It is not due to lack of demand. In fact, you all have been so wonderful and supportive that we sometimes cannot keep up with the demand and we thank you for that!
When we first started conceptualizing this brand, we had a large scale vision of a multi-unit fast casual concept. We searched and searched for years to find the right location to kick off the concept but we also are shrewd business people and investors who were not going to rush into a bad location or investment. If you read about the dozens of restaurant closings in the Twin Cities who cite lease issues as a major contributing factor to their closure, you get an idea of the things we intentionally avoided. In fact, not jumping into a bad situation just to get this concept rolling was one of the best business decisions we have ever made.
We started selling biscuits direct to consumer as a way to share the love. There was a ton of demand and things took off right away. Thanks to all of you, we knew we had an amazing product that we wanted to share with the world.
After we made the name change from Saucy Biscuit to Parkers Southern, we moved aggressively towards packaging and selling our biscuits at retail. We were all in on this avenue until we learned one key thing about the retail space...we were too high quality!
We know that this sounds like a good thing but the problem with our focus on quality and our refusal to compromise meant that we weren't able to produce our biscuits at a low enough cost for retailers to take interest. The retail space is very difficult for both suppliers and the retailers and we quickly learned that we were not positioned to price our biscuits in a way that would be beneficial to either the retailers or ourselves.
We have continued to look into avenues to bring this vision to life but we have come to terms with the fact that this is not the time for us. Someday, maybe someday we will find the right opportunity to bring this brand back.
You will still see us pop up from time to time and we are always open to requests. If we can help you with delicious biscuits, we will always try.
Don't miss your chance to reserve biscuits for out LAST CHANCE pick up next week.
We walk away proud of what we have accomplished, proud of the decisions we've made along the way, and extremely grateful for all of the support and love we've received from our customers and community.
Thank you,
Dan & Vanessa Parker
