Receiving many compliments and requests for orders she decided to turn her hobby into a business, she received a Cottage Food Operator's Permit & business license, started a website and was on her way. Jewel has taught classes at the Sacramento Learning Exchange, and in her home, she was ranked in the top 10

of Sacramento's Best Bakeries, was featured on Good Day Sacramento, The Morning blend, and has competed on Food Network's Halloween Wars: Hayride of Horror in 2017, Cakealikes in 2020 and Halloween Wars in 2021, with other shows to come.
