I made these cuties to donate to a charity auction, and they needed sweaters! So I knitted them each one. So much fun! To display them at the auction, I built a simple box out of a couple of pallet boards, and I think I love the box almost as much as the dogs. 😁

I had lots of fun dying my first self-striping colorway with some of my favorite colors....it may have involved chairs set up in my yard and walking in circles for what seemed like ages. 😂 But I'm super happy with the result! This was a custom colorway on my Angela Sport base specifically for the by Irina Knit (https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/entrelac-snood-4, second picture), but there are a couple extra skeins I've listed in the shop. 😊 blueskinyarns.etsy.com

I also made a mini shawl by Heather Boos (https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/color-morph) with my Whispers light gray as the neutral color. I need to find more patterns to use this for!

Showing off my testers' versions of the Alchemist! 😍 Aren't they gorgeous? The Alchemist was my first public test knit, and I feel like I hit the jackpot with these ladies....they were super helpful, patient, and kind as I worked out the kinks in the pattern, and it is so much better because of them. It's written the way I like to make things: with lots of math done for you behind the scenes to create exactly the size and fit you want. No cookie cutter sizes here!

I am very pleased with the way my turned out. This was the third sweater I designed, and I am super excited to share the pattern with you before long. ☺️

Confession: This sweater exists mainly because I needed something to make with my Alchemist's Rainbow minis. 😆 Such fun to bring a vague vision to life!

A fun evening with my knitting, Hobbes the foster kitten, and the latest episode of Cruel Summer. Hobbes is headed to her forever home in a couple weeks, this baby sweater should be finished and the pattern written in about the same time, and another Cruel Summer episode will be out next week....which is too long to wait!! 😭 Such a good show.

For all crafters who also love rescuing animals, I'd like to invite you to join the Crafters Helping Animals group here on Facebook! Several times a year, they host auctions of mainly (but not limited to) craft and handmade items, and all proceeds of the auctions go to chosen animal rescues. I volunteer for Central Virginia Regional Rescue, and we are lucky to be this month's benefit rescue group! Our auction begins Saturday, February 13, and ends February 28. I've donated some of my yarn. :)

Once you join the group, there are two ways you can be a part of the magic.

1. You can bid on items in the auction by commenting on the photos in the album (https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=oa.259796442327262&type=3). Winners will be notified at the end with instructions to pay.

2. Donate items for others to bid on. Simply take a photo of the item and post it in the album (linked above). Put your initials and a unique number for each item in the description (such as BB01 for Billy Beal's first item), and specify whether you will ship the item for free split the shipping cost with the winner. At the end of the auction, you'll be sent the name and address of the winner for you to ship the item to.

The beautiful little guy in this photo is one of my recent foster kittens, Oliver, who fell asleep with a ball of my yarn.
