🩷2 years ago today, I had my first breast cancer radiation treatment. I still have soreness in my radiation field. I wonder if that will ever go away? I was told it might hurt for a year.
Since my breast cancer journey began, many friends have finally gotten an overdue mammogram or had their first one. Some have established baselines, some have made it through their treatments, some are still fighting and one friend lost her fight😞
I want to encourage everyone to please get their mammograms, ultrasounds if needed and to BIOPSY it, don't wait. I was told I could wait 6 months if I wanted to, before doing a biopsy.
I'm very glad I did not. 🩷

Mmmmmmm...oh so lecker! This schweinbraten is swimming in a dark beer-mustard gravy that is almost indescribably delicious! I simmered the kraut in apple juice, and added bits of fried apples and caraway seed. The spätzle is a made from scratch German noodle-dumpling sautéed in browned butter and is meant to soak up the extra gravy.
Y'all. If you didn't order this week, make sure you don't miss out next time!
