Good beer starts with clean water. 🍻💧

The 15th Annual Umpqua Brew Fest brought craft beer, live music, local organizations, and plenty of community spirit to downtown Roseburg all while supporting the work of Umpqua Watersheds.

Thank you to the organizers, volunteers, musicians, vendors, and everyone who came out. Here’s a look at this year’s celebration!

We sat down with Steve Loosley, candidate for Mayor of Roseburg, for a full conversation on The Outlet.

This episode gets into a lot of the things people in Roseburg are already talking about: downtown, homelessness, housing, small business, city government, public trust, and what it actually means to serve as mayor.

Steve also talks about growing up here, his work with local boards and nonprofits, why he’s running, and why he believes Roseburg needs more people working together toward a shared vision.

We know these conversations matter, especially when they involve the future of our city. Whether you agree, disagree, or are still just trying to learn more about the people running, we think it’s important to give the community a chance to hear from them directly.

📻 Airing this Saturday at 8AM on KQUA

🎙️ This week on The Outlet…

We’re sitting down with Steve Loosley, candidate for Mayor of Roseburg.

This conversation gets into Roseburg’s future, the role of the mayor, city government, downtown, homelessness, housing, small business, public trust, and what it could look like for local leadership to help bring people back to the same table.

Steve talks about growing up in Roseburg, serving on local boards, why he’s running, and what he sees as some of the biggest challenges and opportunities facing the city.

Whether you agree, disagree, or just want to better understand the people asking to lead our community, this is the kind of conversation worth hearing.

🎤 EVENT SPOTLIGHT: Umpqua GrowthTalks Pitch Night by Umpqua Economic Development Partnership

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to get on stage and pitch your business?

We recently got an inside look at Pitch Night, an awesome local opportunity that gives Douglas County entrepreneurs the chance to share their businesses, tell their stories, and compete for funding to help them grow.

Business owners get five minutes to pitch what they've built, where they're headed, and what an investment could help them accomplish.

And yes, I got to experience this one firsthand. The Roseburg Plug walked away with *3rd place!* 🎉

But the competition is only part of what makes this event special. It's a chance to discover local businesses, meet the people behind them, make connections, and see some of the incredible things being built right here in our community.

Check out our look at Pitch Night, and if you're building a business of your own, maybe we'll see you on that stage next time. 👀

Well… we did it! 🎉

The Roseburg Plug took 3rd place at Pitch Night tonight!

Walking into this, I knew the Roseburg Plug was a little different, and trying to explain everything we’re building in just five minutes was definitely a challenge. 😂

But tonight I got the opportunity to stand in front of our community and share why we do what we do, where we’re headed, and why I believe so strongly that every great local business deserves the chance to be seen.

And apparently, they liked what they heard!

We walked away with 3rd place and $500 to put right back into growing the Roseburg Plug.

More than anything, I’m incredibly grateful for everyone who has supported this crazy idea, from the businesses that trust us, to our sponsors, community partners, friends, and everyone who shares, comments, watches, or tells somebody about what we’re doing.

We’re just getting started.

I don’t just want to support local. I want to help build it. 💚

Thank you, Douglas County. ❤️

And an extra big thank you to our sponsors 💚
