Tune in tonight to watch one of my cookie besties on tv. It’s been my privilege, laughing and crying, to be part of her life as she faced some of life’s hardest times and greatest joys. She is a fighter and a firework in this world. Katy is one of those rare friends that I feel like I have known always. One that I can say anything to without judgment. When she walks into a room, everyone knows it, and it’s magical (and I love and admire that about her, because I’d prefer no one to notice me when I enter a room 😅). Katy was so excited about opening her cookie studio in Hermosa Beach, CA —her hometown— an awesome shop and labor of love. I was fortunate to be able to spend time with her there during a busy holiday parade weekend, and I was just in awe of her and her team. As someone who works entirely alone, I have to admit, the busy controlled chaos of a shop was overwhelming to me, and Katy looked at me, knowing me so well, and said, “Are you ok? … The shop next door is cute, maybe you should go check it out.” Lol! (And I did, and it WAS.) Tune in tonight on CW to watch her story 🩷. So proud of you, Katy 😘😘😘
