Hey folks! As many of you know by now, we are in the process of moving and downsizing! I am also trying to get rid of some of my baking inventory so that I don’t have to pack and haul boxes of packaging and supplies. Since this is my last week of baking, I have one more pan available for an apple crisp for $8. I am dropping prices on my cinnamon rolls as I have two more pans to get rid of. Instead of $18 I am charging $15/dozen.

So I had this idea the other day when I came across these cute, little, pastel colored bowls. These bowls will make perfect Easter gifts for teenagers, especially college students (the bowls are microwave and dishwasher safe). Six cookies fit in each bowl, so I have included two monster cookies, two chocolate chip cookies, and two frosted sugar cookies. Each finished bowl will be wrapped up in cellophane wrap with ribbons. $10 per bowl, I will have 11 available for Easter.

Also, I have room in my schedule to accept a few more cinnamon roll or Carmel pecan roll orders.

I am always just amazed at the responses I receive. I already need to close orders for Easter baskets. I have already accepted more orders than I had intended for baskets, so thank you all so much for your orders! I will still accept a few orders for cinnamon rolls, sweet breads, and cookies. Fill in the basket! Offering a limited number of Easter baskets this year. Children’s baskets come with 5 colors of homemade, long lasting play dough and 4 cookies of your choice. Adult baskets come with two small loaves of bread and four cookies. Children’s baskets are $15, Adult baskets are $12. Each basket will be wrapped when completed.

Cookie flavors: Frosted sugar crosses or eggs, chocolate chip, molasses spice.

Bread flavors: Poppyseed, zucchini, banana, and banana chocolate chip.

***I am doing a very limited amount of baking for Easter so if you want to place an order, please do so early. Sweet breads and cookies in the above lists will be available for order as well as a limited amount of cinnamon rolls being sold by the dozen for $18.

This is a very personal message, not exactly professional, but we want to express our gratitude to all of you for your prayers and patience these last few days. We had orders on the counter waiting to go out for the weekend, we had order forms on the counter that needed to be baked for the weekend. We are so very sorry that we could not follow through for some of you and we are just so grateful for your kindness and support.

After feeling not quite right Friday afternoon, I (Ashlie) went to the clinic in town. Three hours later, my husband and I were checked in to the hospital in Sioux Falls and having scans done to confirm that our unborn daughter had been called into Jesus’ arms. I was induced shortly afterwards and early Saturday morning, we were able to hold our little girl for a little while. Unfortunately, there were some complications, and while everything will be just fine, healing will be a bit of a process. I will not be accepting any new orders for at least the first two weeks of March.

Thank you again for your outpouring of love, kindness, and support during this time.

Our baker/decorator is having a medical emergency. We are deeply sorry that we are unable to fulfill orders for this weekend and we will not be accepting any new orders for the time being. Thank you for your patience and we ask for prayers.

My dearest customers and followers,

As of April, With Love, Bakery will no longer be available to serve Rock Rapids and the Lyon County community. My husband has accepted another position that is requiring our family to relocate in a very short nine weeks from now. I will still be taking Easter orders and will post at the beginning of March what options are available for the holiday. With the exception of a few orders that have been placed already, I will be done baking April 3rd. If you would like to stock your freezer with sweet breads or cookies, I am more than happy to work on that for you during the month of March.

I want to say thank you to each and everyone of you who has supported, shared, and purchased from my business the last two years. It has been a huge blessing working with you and for you. When I started this business, I had no idea how quickly it would grow. My family and I are just so thankful for all of the blessings we have experienced in the last two years. I was able to quit my part time job to be able to stay home full time with my boys. I was able to cover extra expenses, trips to visit family, and probably most importantly, get extra treatments for one of my boys who has some spinal issues. Thank you for every order you placed and for being part of this journey!
