Hi friends! As most of you know, I have moved to Oregon & am no longer selling my baked goods & have regained my creativity through baking. I’ve recently had the time and energy to bake again & have been filling my friends’, partner, & partner’s basketball team tummies 🤗 I decided I’d pop on to post a few of my recent goodies.
Although most of the time I enjoy baking, sometimes, when I first try a new recipe, I get extremely disappointed that it isn’t perfect. The cannolis in the last slide I made for my partner’s birthday. It’s her favorite dessert & she’s not a huge cake fan. I didn’t get to take all of my baking supplies with me when I moved; thus, I was missing a few items needed to make cannolis. I didn’t have a food processor & used a blender instead & I didn’t have a pastry brush, so I used a paint brush that I had recently bought (I hadn’t used it for paint yet, don’t worry). I almost gave up because the first 4 cannoli shells I fried turned out terrible. I had to throw them away. & although I had a few that were servable, I was not happy with them. Everyone at Kaycie’s birthday dinner said they were great (& I have some brutally honest friends 😉 ) but still, I almost didn’t post them. I think it’s important to show the fails, baking would be boring if there wasn’t something to improve on.
