This week will be a larger delivery, because there may not be a delivery the Week of Aug 18th.

This week I get to meet a ton of extended family in the memorial celebration of my father in law. I am taking this week OFF to truly invest in the time that I get to spend with this side of our family.

(If you know me, taking time off for anything, is very hard for me… but it’s something I am doing differently 😉)

Tuesday the 18th is also the first day of school, and there is no tired like first day of school tired, except for the first full week of school tired…But I also have a student teacher first semester, and kick butt support staff partners! (This year is looking promising!)

Cliff notes version: I’m explaining in advance why the shelf may be empty next week. Please stock up tomorrow, and I will be ready to go for a good sized delivery on Tuesday August 25th.

Oh boy! What a week it has been, and it’s only Wednesday!
I mean that in all the best ways! Monday/Tuesday I was able to be a part of Heart Of A Leader Training by the Energy Guy Brandon Johnson, and let me tell you, that was the biggest emotional rollercoaster I have ever ridden… but I have grown immensely in just two days.
Can you imagine, not knowing most of the participants on Monday Morning at 8am and then by 5pm Tuesday afternoon you have cried all your makeup off because you aren’t ready to leave these RAVING FANS than you had in your corner?!

Wow, just wow. I wish I could put all of my feelings about this training into words, I will, but I need time to process and plan first.

We also added a new addition to the family! 🐶
Meet Mongo, (if you read DCC… you know…) he was a complete SURPRISE…but maybe I was more ready than I thought…

He completed his first hike today! 4.2ish miles.. although he probably only walked the .2 ….

We have the wonderful Amy Monroe to thank for delivering! While she was making her amazing to-go Latte’s she also delivered ALLLLLL of our baked goods!

The goodies are here, but I also have to tell you something…

RIGHT NEXT TO MY SHARK SHELF, but down one row, is Crumbys Bakery ... and she made ocean cookies today! Sharks and bubbles are clams with pearls, oh my!! It’s like she knew Shark Week is next week…. These were made for ME, but I only took one, for now.. you better hurry! 🦈 🫧

P.S. So I messaged her… because that’s what good supportive women do when they see someone else kicking butt and doing cool things… and she replied!!

How exciting. I was impressed, I reached out, she took the time to reply.

I selfishly said, it looks like these were made for ME!She basically confirmed, yep! We have been shelf buddies a while now, and I am just always impressed with the creativity on these cookies! What an honor!

These kinds of interactions can totally make your day brighter!

So go get a cookie, and a bagel, and say something nice to someone! You just might make their day!
