🎂 September babies… there are A LOT of you.
Fun fact: some of the most popular birthdays of the entire year fall in the next couple of weeks.

So here’s my September PSA: if you know you need a cake, cupcakes or cookies, get those orders in!

I hate having to turn people away, but once the calendar fills up, there are only so many cakes we can make. 💕

🍫 Chocolate, cinnamon... or apple cinnamon?
Around here, that's the real debate.

Soft, rich, swirled with filling, and baked from scratch, babka is one of those treats that's just as perfect with your morning coffee as it is on the Rosh Hashanah table.

Our classic chocolate and cinnamon babkas are available year-round, but apple cinnamon only makes an appearance for Rosh Hashanah. 🍎🍂

🍎 It’s back! Apple Cinnamon Babka season.
This one only comes around for the High Holidays — soft, buttery babka swirled with cinnamon and sweet apple. And then it disappears again until next year. 😉

🀄️ If you know me, you know I love games... and Mah Jongg has always been my favorite, so I was so excited to get this order for a custom cake.

The only request? Match the colors of their favorite Mah Jongg set. 💕
We did that—and topped it with printed fondant tiles featuring the actual tiles from their set.

I love seeing how much Mah Jongg has grown over the past few years. Who else plays? 🀄️

🐾 Happy National Dog Day!
This is Reba... our family's four-legged quality control manager. ❤️
She's been by my side since she was a puppy…

She can hear a bag of challah being opened from anywhere in the house... Mr Totally Baked calls it the challah tax…

Back when I baked from home, she'd keep a careful eye on me while I trimmed cakes, just in case a crumb happened to fall. And during the driveway pickup days? Let's just say more than one customer almost left with an unexpected passenger when Reba decided to hop into their car to say hello. 🚗

🍌 Some themes are ageless!
This banana-themed cake and matching cookies were created for Hannah Banana's 1st birthday 💛
And then my own Hannah saw the treats…
Now, just a few weeks before her 18th birthday, she's informed me that she wants a "Hannah Banana" theme birthday too 😂🍌

Cookie? Cake? Yes.
Despite the name, a black & white cookie is actually more like a soft cake than a crunchy cookie.
One half is coated in vanilla icing, the other in chocolate, so you never have to choose a favorite.
They're a New York bakery icon and have been a staple in Jewish bakeries for generations.
