Hey y'all! Max Meadows Farm Equine Rescue 501c3 is in desperate need of four 10ft round pen panels! We are not above using used panels if someone local has some they would like to donate. However, I've posted in local groups and while there have been some amazing folks willing to donate other sizes, I haven't found anyone with 10ft ones.

Our space at Farmers Market at Imperial Sugar Land is only 10x10 and we can't exceed that space. We are bringing one of our sweet rescues to market each sat for people to interact with and allow people to get to know us, our rescues and encourage people to get involved by visiting etc. We took jack the donkey a few weeks ago, right before my mom's passing. He was such a star he drew crowds I wasn't anticipating. We really need an enclosed area to keep things more organized.

Since it's Thursday, and Market is Saturday, we really need to think about purchasing the panels we need by tomorrow. We are starting a fundraising goal of $600 so we can have a safe set up to continue doing what we've been doing. I HATE having to fundraise, but with The Cookie Barn temporarily on hold during our move and new build, fundraising is something we need to do. The expenses of 13 horses haven't stopped. Let's see if a few people can help just a little to meet our goal so we can continue to make a presence at the Market. With the crowds he drew the week we took him, I anticipate being able to raise money each week for max Meadows while we're not able to bring baked goods. The Cookie Barn is planning on bringing Jack, our mini blue eyed donkey to Farmers Market at Imperial Sugar Land this Saturday from 9am-1pm. He's starting his 4th of July celebration a little early. Come see Jack who will be representing Max Meadows Farm Equine Rescue this Sat! Can't wait to see you!

We sell chicken eggs and duck eggs every Sat at Farmers Market at Imperial Sugar Land from 9am-1pm.

Duck Eggs V’s Chicken Eggs 🍳

Duck eggs are larger in size than chicken eggs. The whites in chicken eggs have a higher water content (more runny) than the whites in duck eggs. Duck eggs have larger yolks and a higher yolk-to-white-ratio than chicken eggs.

We have both. Yes, they are different from eachother so I am gunna break it down quick:

🦆 Duck eggs are GREAT for baking

🐓 Chicken eggs have thinner shells

🦆 Duck eggs are larger and richer than 🐓 eggs

🐓 Chickens are prolific layers year around if taken care of correctly but 🦆 ducks are as well with much less light necessity

🦆 Duck eggs stay fresh longer because of their insanely thick shell

🦆 Duck eggs contain 30% more protein, and a different type of protein that 🐓 chicken eggs so if allergic to chicken eggs, most can eat duck and visa versa.

Ounce for ounce, 🦆 duck eggs contain more Omega-3, Vitamins A and D, fatty acids, choline, folate, and iron than 🐓 chicken eggs.

🐓 Chickens lay well for about 1-2 years then dramatically start slowing down production while 🦆 ducks lay a solid 4-5 years before they slow down

🐓 Chicken eggs come in a lot more colors

So there ya have it!

Ok y'all!! According to the forecast it's gonna be a rainy Saturday at Farmers Market at Imperial Sugar Land . Get your umbrellas out!!
