One of the best parts about owning your own business is the people you get to meet along the way connecting with them, learning about what they do, and then getting the chance to support them in return.
Earlier this year, I met Cassandra at the Leadership Redding Cocktail Hour. She was applying for Leadership Redding, I was there getting more information, and we just hit it off. We started talking about Ironman, community events we’d love to be a part of, and then she mentioned Play Like a Mother
I immediately remembered seeing the event last year and realized SHE was the person behind it!
You know that feeling when you meet someone and think, “Wait… I know who you are!”? That was me. Cassandra has made such a positive impact in our community, and it was so cool getting to know the person behind something that has grown into such an incredible event.
We talked that night about collaborating sometime, and now here we are! Seeing how successful Play Like a Mother has become is amazing, and I’m genuinely so proud of everything she has created.
And to make the early morning even better, I also got to see Sarah from Community Table setting up her incredible charcuterie boards. WOW. If you ever need a beautiful spread for an event, this woman puts her heart and soul into everything she creates, and it shows.
This is what I love about our community meeting incredible people, supporting one another, collaborating, and watching each other succeed. ❤️
