Oh hey, remember me?! It’s been a minute, but I haven’t stopped baking! We’ve just been a little preoccupied turning lemons into lemon curd and trying to make the most out of all the curve balls Covid-19 threw our way this year...
I always said I would never make my own wedding cake... and then I got engaged and realized I couldn’t possibly imagine it any other way. Covid-19 may have downsized our guest list, but there was no way I was going to downsize the cake... especially when I got an extra four months to plan and make it! 😀

Finally getting on the fault line bandwagon! I kept it simple for my first go, and I kind of love it. 😍 Special thanks to for the inspiration and for the how to video!
This is a “just because” cake, brought to you by a solo Friday night when the BF was out of town, and a lazy Saturday morning when I actually had time to take decent pictures. 😂

Today I present you a not-so-sweet by Cip.... savory raised pie! I know this isn’t my typical post, but I just had to share!

Ever since Paul and I became obsessed with , he’s become obsessed with the idea of savory pie... “Jen, it’s like a pie, with MEAT in it!!”

After literally months of him asking for one at least once a week, I finally caved and we made it our Saturday night project... and it WAS a project (2+ hours of prep, almost 2 hours of baking, and a 9:30 pm dinner 😂)! BUT we can’t believe how delicious it was and are pretty dang proud of our first attempt at this! Huge shoutout to one of our British Baking favs, for his Nan’s Sunday Dinner pie recipe! 🥧

Paul, I’m sorry I doubted your savory pie dreams for so long. You were right, and I was wrong. Don’t get used to it though... I’m still the authority on all things SWEET! 😘

I spend most of my days teaching math to the best students a teacher could ask for! 👩🏼‍🏫 Today marks the official end of my tenth year of teaching, and I was so thrilled to get to share this two tier, chocolate chip cake with the seniors last week!

Happy 2nd birthday, Brady!! 🎈🎉🎂
Taking good photos has fallen to the bottom of my priority list for the past few months 🤦🏼‍♀️, but I knew I had to make time to capture this cute cake today!
Four layers of vanilla cake, covered in cream cheese buttercream, and finished off with fondant details. Confession...I don’t always love working with fondant (cake friends know the struggle! 😂), but I sure do love this end result! 🤗

Well, I’m only a month behind in posting this graduation cake... 🤦🏼‍♀️ but better late than never, right?! Cascading rosettes are quickly becoming one of my favorite designs (thanks !), and I’m loving them even more in this this Auburn-inspired color combo! 🐅

Only 10 days into 2019, and I’m already giddy about all the cakes coming this year! How fun is this Mario cake from last weekend?! I just love how all of the little details on this one came together... especially the partial drip! Happy 8th birthday, Cade!! 🎈🎉
