Wanted to finally give everyone a update on Cindy. It has been 19 months since her brain surgery. Nobody knows what cards you will be dealt in life and you play what you are dealt.
First, we are thankful that the tumor was not cancer. Second, she has had lasting trauma from the tumor removal. She gets debilitating migranes when the pressure drops, so rainy days are no longer her friend. Medicines only help so much...the ones that take away the pain, take her away with them.
When she is not in pain she is that wonderful girl I fell in love with and continue to cherish. When she is in pain I feel helpless and hollow.
I am greatful for everyone that checks in on me from time to time and now have a greater respect for anyone who has taken on somewhat of a caretaker role.
We hope at every check up there is another drug to try that may be "the one"!
Sharing some of the smiles that I miss and know that there will be more in the future when we get this all figured out.

She is currently the back to back to back (YES FOLKS A THREE PEAT) NC State Fair Wedding Cake Decorating Champion! I am so Proud!

Hot in and out of the truck in Raleigh today. Contractors keep pushing forward for me...even in the heat!
