With the amount of pink I’m showing off this month it feels like Valentine’s Day everyday! Baby pink this time for my roommate and best friends baby shower! Can’t wait to see the little snowflake and continue serving this amazing family, genuinely supportive and beautiful people!

Beautiful beautiful! It’s not just Valentine’s Day that can be full of pink! This was my first shot at a gluten free cake for a friend of mine! It came out amazing and was a huge learning experience! The white cake was a gift to the birthday girl but due to eating restrictions she decided to entrust me with her gluten free cake! I’m so happy to start offering this as an option as well!

Another successful order by Ivy cakes! This one was Virgina tech themed for a young gentleman’s birthday! The inside was red velvet, cake with a copper/ orange filling to really pull the tech them through! This was my first time working with fondant and I learned quite a bit. I can’t wait to use it for more of my cakes!

Fall themed cupcakes and cake with edible florals and greenery. The cake was red velvet with a cream cheese frosting accented with a mixture of edible roses, accent greenery as well as silk. The cupcakes turned out beautifully with a nutmeg and cinnamon spice cake and buttercream frosting. The cupcakes are fully edible! Yes the florals too. Which where handmade with sugar dough. It was amazing traveling to the Kyle House in Fincastle, venues are beautiful and I’m inspired to open my own one day!
