One summer, while working at the Y, there was a little punk kid who had just moved to town from Long Island who wouldn’t stop swearing in front of the other kids in the gym. After talking to him for a little and realizing that he was wise beyond his years and just needed to vent, I took him to my office, shut the door and told him to swear away and get it out of his system.

That kid is now graduating from high school and is going on to a career in the United States Navy.

He was my first actual employee when I started baking at home and .diehl and I were certainly entertained by his stories when we were working in the store.

He’s not my actual kid, but I couldn’t be more proud of the man he has grown into and I can’t wait to see what the world and the navy has in store for him!!

Keep swearing Wyatt!!

Happy Birthday to my biggest supporter and promoter from the beginning of my baking journey!! He created my logo, helped me come up with , created my website, told me how to take better pictures and constantly gave me shout outs on his posts and live videos!!

This cake is coconut cake with Malibu rum pineapple filling and buttercream icing! Since he has made me so many memorable keepsakes, I made the frame on top entirely out of fondant and squidward is hand painted on a piece of fondant. Once completely dried, it can be sprayed with a lacquer and saved!

Happy Birthday Achilles!! You’ll always be a few years older than me, but I continue to strive to be as great of a person as you!!
