Every sourdough bakery has a secret ingredient.

Mine is named Miriam.

She’s my wild yeast starter — just flour, water, time, and a whole lot of patience. She’s bubbly, a little temperamental, and very opinionated about temperature.

Miriam is what gives my sourdough its rise, flavor, and that beautiful natural fermentation. No commercial yeast. No shortcuts. Just slow, steady growth.

She gets fed daily. She rests. She works hard. And honestly? She’s part of the family now.

Took my go-to cinnamon roll dough and gave it a little strawberry twist 🍓

This batch is made with freeze-dried strawberries in the dough, plus I’ll be adding a homemade strawberry filling and glaze. Still testing, still learning, still having fun in the kitchen!
