Our Story...
Oh, where does a story begin? The first crack of a hammer on nail through out a hollow old building or the first spark of an inspiration’s birth in a grey dreary place? For me, the story begins a long long time ago under the warm summer sun. Where the breeze blew threw the open window screens and the fresh smell of chocolate chip cookies lured us in from playing in the woods, far off the main road and far off from any worries. A little plot of land in the middle of nowhere. That, is where it all begins for me at least.
Baking was always something we did as parents, as kids, and as family and and as friends here in Sweet Rose Bakeshop. When the ground was soaked and the sky was dark, a cup of milk and a snickerdoodle was our indoor escape. When the air was cold and the winds howled with shards of ice, a hot chocolate and a slice of butter cake was our warm blankets around the wood stove. Mind you, it wasn’t just our sweet tooth for delectable desserts that lead us or even got us here in Purcellville, Virginia. It was the long trek through hard times, tiring days of do-it-yourself projects, and cold mind numbing corporate retail jobs that wore down and refined our dreams into an escape for anyone and everyone from the struggles of our times. Because we are here to bring a smile to your day, and our story is about your story. Your story that you can smile and tell your kids and your grand kids and your friends and family, because at the end of a long day, who is anyone to tell you that you don’t deserve a little something to brighten your everyday just a little more? Keep your day Fantastic as always Purcellville! You deserve it after all.

Check out these yummy Valentine's day treats! Can't wait for this Saturday! ❤ Sweet Rose Bakeshop
Interested in buying or selling? Have questions about the local real estate market? Join me this Saturday at 10:00am at Sweet Rose Bakeshop in Purcellville! Grab your free Valentine's day cookie (and something sweet for your favorite person) and let's chat about real estate!
These two absolute sweethearts tied the knot yesterday, and I can't wait to share more from their incredible wedding at The Middleburg Barn!
Thank you to everyone who joined us for Cupcake with a Cop yesterday at Sweet Rose Bakeshop! We had a great time and a big thank you to Sweet Rose Bakeshop for donating the delicious cupcakes! We loved having the chance to engage with our neighbors of all ages, admire the amazing chalk drawings (maybe even participate in a little artwork ourselves...) and catch up with our community members. Even the brief rain shower couldn't keep our wonderful community from showing their support!
Hope you can join us for our next Coffee with a Cop event scheduled in June! Coffee with a Cop events are traditionally held bi-monthly at various times and locations throughout town. A national initiative supported by the United States Department of Justice, Office of Community Oriented Policing Services; the program aims to advance the practice of community policing through improving relationships between police officers and community members one cup of coffee at a time. Purcellville police officers join community members in an informal, neutral space to meet each other, discuss community issues, build relationships, and of course share a cup of coffee, tea, cocoa, or cupcake!
Most of our guests made their Valentine's Day getaway extra sweet with one of our special add-ons: our chocolate fondue package, chocolate ganache cheesecake from Sweet Rose Bakeshop, or 2 dozen roses in their room! Available all the time!

Whenever somebody decides to move, it's important for me to understand their buying and selling priorities, so that I can be sure to maximize their desired outcomes.
When my family decided to move out of Reston, many years ago, my husband's number one location priority was that he had to have easy access to the W&OD Trail. As a cyclist, it is one of his favorite things about living around here! His second favorite thing to do is to eat and drink at the establishments along the trail on his bike!!!
Part 1 of this series (this video) heads WEST out of Leesburg to Purcellville where we stuff ourselves with baked goods, BBQ, burgers and ice cream! When you burn all those calories on the bike, you get to reward yourself (though we may have overindulged a bit on this one!)
Part 2 of the series will head EAST for more BBQ & Beers followed by a Harrison Street Happy Hour in Leesburg! Part 2 should be posted Thursday afternoon! By Liking and Sharing this video, you should get a notification when that video is posted and will also be entered in my gift card raffle!
I'm giving away two gift cards in this video! Please "Like", "Share" and read the details below!
To be entered into the raffle for the gift card you can either tag somebody you think would like this adventure in a Comment, Like the video, or Share the video on your timeline or page! You get one entry for each person you tag in a comment, one entry for a Like, and two entries for a share! If you Like and Share both videos, you get credit for both! The value of each gift card will total the number of Likes and Shares we get from now until Oct 20 noon EST. (Max value $100). Gift card will be to your choice of one of the ELEVEN establishments featured in these two videos! (Part 1 features Transition Triathlon, Vino9MARKET, Sweet Rose Bakeshop, Magnolias at the Mill Restaurant, Monk's BBQ, and Tipped Cow Creamery! There are FIVE more coming in the next video heading East! You'll have to watch Part 2 to find out where we go next!)
Happy Anniversary Becca & Jason! Year One is in the books! Congratulations to you both -- wishing you many more years of happiness & love 💗⠀

Kathryn + Taylor | Married
Here it is! My last wedding of 2019 with the SWEETEST couple most thoughtful couple EVER! I could not have imagined ending my year with anyone else. These two have true hearts of gold, and I say that with complete certainty. While the day started off gloomy, rainy, and not ideal, before we all knew it, the sun was shining and the celebration of these two finally becoming HUSBAND AND WIFE was in FULL swing! I am so lucky to have literally the best clients, that truly turn friends all across the board and that is even more so with these two. Congratulations sweet friends!!! I am SO thrilled for you both to set off in this fun little ride called MARRIAGE! 😍😍😍
