Wow what a day thanks everyone for coming out and spending sometime with us. I hope to see more happy people and friends at the Bakery. We love it. Now let's go watch hot at it's best. Not Happy on soap box preaching about the evils of dieting, but the Baton Rouge ballon Festival.


So I am here in DC and wishing I could try some of the amazing things everyone's talking about. If anyone is going to see Happy this week at The Happy Baker, post what you got so I can eat through your stomach! Thanks!

Come see us at Lod Cook Alumni center free cake and and sodas. And clowns did I mention clowns. It's the cover kids contest for Parents magazine. Did I mention the clowns, so come ear cake and see if I am cute enough to be a cover kid. Plus they have clowns.

Ok its been a while since I have posted cause I have been making the donuts and other yummies for everyones tummies. Thanks to all our friends and loyal costumers who have made this past two months a success. Come see us and try our new creations and enjoy a improve song from Happy. See you soon.


we will be closed this Sunday for Father's Day----so if you need something sweet, better come get it Saturday!!!!


We just wanted to let all of our fans know, we are now opened on Sundays from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. And we will now be closed on Mondays!


That was inspried by Amy and Paula. Paul inspired the orange slice in the jar. Oh yea and Happy will be wearing?? Come see for your self.


Ok it's time the day has come Monday at 6:00am The Happy Baker will open. A dream for two familes to bring good food and happy times to there many friends, neighbors, family and community. Paula and Amy would love to invite all to come see the amazing craftmenship of Paul and taste fresh baked goodies and drink damn good coffee and try the cafe bliss a new drink inspried by Amy and Paul.


We passed all inspections so like they say in Bogata Columbia play ball. Well I think that's what they say.


Ok lets meet the players! The Owners: Amy Abdelbaki and Paula Prichard these two ladies run the ship and the insanity. Builder of this ark and the glue that holds it together is Paul Prichard. The Keeper of the calories Happy Abdelbaki, some call him Chef and other stuff. Stay tuned for the starting roster. Oh Yea and the board of directors Payton Prichard, Alex Abdelbaki, Zakie Abdelbaki and Peyton Abdelbaki


Ok Ok Ok Ok that's how many day we are adding to the opening. So it is now scheduled for May 10th at 6:00am. Maybe sooner but the reality is perfection takes time. Chef Happy's dear friends and class mates may still be abele to gather at the bakery. We will also offer some baked goods sweetened with Agave syrup, low glycemic index sweetener that is ok if you have diabetes.


If there is anything left to caulk and paint......I might go insane! Oh well if the bakery does not work out, I think I could make a living at caulking!?! To everyone who is waiting on will be beautiful when we are done! Paula Prichard


Ok eight days and adding three for good luck, that is inspections and training, but better late than never. Please send suggestions I am running out of fating ideas, what I really meant is I wan't everyone to be "Happy". I would like to thank everyone for being so excited and the positive energy. Keep It coming and I will have a tie-dye chef coat


Eight days and counting hummmm. Fire inspection next monday, pre-health inspection hopefully this week, electrical inspection who knows, lunch menu done and priced. FYI our roast beef is really prime rib minus the fancy name. Did we mention happy has vowed to hang up the idea of wearing his yellow poke-a-dot bikini for the grand opening he doesn't have time to shave his legs we were sad too. Please send ideas


Nine days till the bog day. Like birthing a child we are ready to deliver. When you walk in and say holy #%*£ this place is awsome please pay thanks to Paul Prichard the master builder and visionary of the look and feel. Which is good cause we all know Happys taste is a short of wow and more like huh. So loosen your belts and grab your coffee mugs cause it's almost yummy time.


T-minus 10 days and counting. Cash registar check, display case and racks check, inspections damn red tape next. We will have yummy and unique gluten free baked goods for thoose who have issues with wheat glutten. All suggestions are welcome so don't be shy and speak up.


Eleven count them 11 days till The Happy Baker serves it's first pastry or biscuit. Meet the Owners Amy Abdelbaki an Paula Prichard at the grand opening. Paul and Happy will be in the background making the magic with our great staff. See you there or else and I mean or else.

Ok 12 days and counting. The Happy Baker bringing European and local pastries all homemade and baked in house. We also will be serving Breakfast and lunch. Oh yea and fresh made Beignets not from a mix but from scratch and if your nice we can fill them with yummy fillings. Coffee we feature the finest local micro roaster River Roads Coffee java that tastes like it did back when.
