Over the past few weeks, I've been quietly working behind the scenes with Moonlit Bakery LLC. to create something we've both dreamed about for a long time. Starting today, you'll find a brand-new collection of non-toxic home and personal care products available at the shed!

We're kicking things off with one item I know many of you will appreciate as summer adventures get underway: our all-natural bug spray! 🌿
Made with carefully selected essential oils and completely DEET-free, it's a natural option for families looking to enjoy time outdoors this summer. Whether you're headed to the lake, the campground, the beach, or just spending evenings in the backyard, we've got you covered.

Of course, the shelves are also stocked with plenty of fresh baked goodies for your weekend plans, and all pre-orders have been loaded into the old cabinet shed for pickup.

Okay… this one might be my favorite specialty loaf we've ever made!
We spent today testing a new pretzel loaf in the kitchen and I genuinely cannot stop thinking about it. Soft, chewy, buttery, salty perfection.
It feels very fitting for what we’ve been planning for Father’s Day weekend.
Our Father’s Day menu officially drops Monday… and let’s just say this is only the beginning 🥨🤎🧀

Not every day at The Bread Shed looks like the shelves being full and the porch buzzing with visitors.
Some days look like prep lists on the counter, flour covering half the kitchen, dough resting under towels, and long hours getting everything ready for the weekend ahead.

Today is one of those days 🤍

While the shed itself is closed until Friday, we’re spending today baking, prepping, packaging, planning, and pouring a whole lot of love into what’s coming next.

There’s something really special about these slower in-between days… the quiet work that happens before the shelves are stocked again.
We can’t wait to open back up Friday with fresh sourdough and weekend goodies waiting for you all!

Need a little pick-me-up during this gloomy stretch of weather? ☁️✨
We just stocked fresh cinnamon rolls at Quarterfield Markets alongside our regular sourdough bread and cookie drop! The perfect excuse to treat yourself on a rainy day 🤍

The rolls will be fresh through the end of the day — after that, you’ll still be able to find them stocked in the freezer section for whenever the craving hits!

Nothing cures a dreary week quite like warm cinnamon rolls and fresh bread 🥐🍪🍞

When I first had the idea for the Powhatan Farm Stand Trail, I thought maybe a few people would think it sounded fun… but I truly never imagined the response it would receive from this community 🤍

Watching everyone share the announcement, tag friends and family, and get excited about spending a summer Saturday supporting local stands has been such a special thing to witness already!

There’s something really sweet about the idea of slow back roads, roadside stands, fresh bread, flowers, produce, handmade goods, and families making a day out of exploring Powhatan together.

Over the next few weeks, I’ll start sharing little sneak peeks, stand spotlights, and behind-the-scenes pieces as everything comes together… and I genuinely cannot wait for y’all to experience it.

🇺🇸 The Bread Shed is officially OPEN for Memorial Day weekend!! 🇺🇸
The shed got a little patriotic makeover this week, and we filled the shelves with all your usual favorites plus some fun themed treats for the holiday weekend! ✨
We also had TONS of preorders this week (thank y’all SO much 🥹), so all preorder bags have been loaded into the old shed. Some are in the main compartment, and some are tucked into the lower cabinet door, so just take a little peek around if you don’t spot your name right away!
And for tomorrow morning… our jumbo cinnamon roll flavor will be Lemon Blueberry 🍋🫐
If you know, you know… these are ALWAYS a crowd favorite, so set those alarms early tomorrow morning! 💛

Memorial Day weekend may be looking a little rainy… but The Bread Shed will still be open rain or shine for all your cozy weekend goodies ☔🍞
And for our cinnamon roll lovers… our Lemon Blueberry Jumbo Cinnamon Rolls will be back this Saturday!! 🫐🍋 We already know these are a crowd favorite every time they return, so set those alarms early if you’ve been waiting for them!
Honestly, that’s one of our favorite things about the new shed — you can step inside, stay dry, take your time browsing, and pick out your sourdough, cinnamon rolls, cookies, and treats without having to brave the weather.
We’ll have a mix of classic favorites along with a few fun holiday-inspired goodies for the weekend too 🇺🇸✨
And on Saturday from 10a–2p, we’ll also be joined by Sippin Spot serving up drinks while you shop!
