Happy 20th birthday to the boy who unknowingly started it all.

Nine years ago, I was honestly just sick of ordering cookie cakes every year — especially for a kid who never liked cake or ice cream.

So I decided with the help of my mom to make him something different for his birthday… a giant candy creation filled with all of his favorite treats.

What started as a fun birthday surprise turned into something I never could have imagined — Candy Cake Explosion!

Nine years later, we’ve made thousands of candy creations, celebrated countless birthdays, graduations, mitzvahs, weddings, holidays, college send-offs and so many special moments — all because our son didn’t like cake.

So today, we celebrate the original candy cake lover… who still doesn’t like cake or ice cream.🤣
