You know those days where your brain is just… elsewhere? 😂

I was making two loaves today:
🥒 A protein-packed zucchini bread for a taste test.
🍞 My regular zucchini bread as the control.

The goal? See if the protein version could pass the taste test.

Everything was going according to plan…

Until I confidently grabbed the cumin instead of the cinnamon…

…for the regular loaf. 🤦🏻‍♀️

The protein loaf? Perfect.

The one that was supposed to be my comparison? Straight into the trash before it even made it to the oven.

So today’s lesson:
✔️ Protein powder wasn’t the problem.
❌ I was. 😂

I baked 15 boxes of sourdough lemon blueberry muffins for a local realtor to gift to her clients. 💛

I love hearing your messages, but this one made my whole week.

My son came home from camp and told me a 12 year old he knows was talking about how much he loved my bread.

If you’ve ever met a middle school boy, you know they don’t hand out compliments just to be nice. 😂

I’ll be riding this high for a while.

There are easier ways to make snack bars.

Buying them is definitely one of them. 😅

But I love making these from scratch. From mixing the dough to layering the jam to baking them until they’re perfectly golden. These will always be a staple in my house.

Because I believe homemade just tastes better.

This is what my bread actually looks like in our house

PB&Js, turkey sandwiches, cinnamon toast, quick breakfasts…
nothing fancy, just everyday life

I started baking because I wanted something better for my kids. Real ingredients, no preservatives, no shortcuts

Now it’s the bread we use for everything
and I get to share it with other local families too 🤍

Said yes to baking cookies for my son’s baseball golf tournament fundraiser… and somehow that turned into 150 cookies in my kitchen 🤍

Every single one made from scratch with the same ingredients I use for my own family—no shortcuts, no mixes, just real food.

These boys are working so hard this season and it means a lot to be able to support them in a small way ⚾️
