Meet the Bakers our story…
Hi everyone! Ok we have quite a few new followers since the last time I did this. I just wanted to take the time out and introduce ourselves (the faces behind the goods). I just wanted to say thank you for all the love! We are truly blessed to be able to do what we love doing My name is, Mandy, I am a wife and mother to 4 beautiful kiddos. I have been baking ever since I can remember and when I got out of High school | started pastry school, however, God had other plans and we had our first son (18 now). I stuck with what I was already licensed in, which was cosmetology. I was a hairstylist for about 13 years. Throughout those years I still carried my love for baking. I would bring treats for clients near the holidays and bake for family and friends all throughout the years. Everyone would tell me I should start selling but I honestly didn't know where to start and felt like I wasn't ready and I needed someone to do it with. Well let me tell you God works in his timing and in ways you wouldn't have expected it to work.
About 6 years ago my daughter, Jolianna (Jo for short) started to show that same love for baking. About 3 years ago she started to want to bake non stop. As in she would wake up and the first thing that would come out of her mouth was mom, " I want to make cookies, cake, and muffins today" and this was almost everyday (she is homeschooled). Which honestly was great at first we always had dessert lol. However, it became too much we could not keep up with the eating so I had to start telling her no. Well as persistent as she is, she found a way that there would be no food waste. We started giving her baked goods to neighbors, the fire station, the police station, hospitals, literally people just walking by the house just to get it out. Well people started telling her that we needed to start selling the baked goods. Let me tell you this 14 year old won't take no for an answer. I told her she would need to get her sanitation license (without our help while taking the test) and I would get everything I needed to get to make everything official. That is how My Darlings Bake Shop (hubby named it because we are his darlings) was born.
Well y'all it's been about a year and a half and it is all thanks to God and everyone of you! Let me tell you how honored we are to be a part of your meal. We love serving our community, we absolutely love talking and getting to know everyone. We are so thankful that you all think of our goodies before you go on trips and want to make sure you have them to take with or give to a loved one. It's crazy to think that our goodies are actual pregnancy cravings or that our treats bring back memories of people's childhood. I'm blown away at how many times we baked because our items are gift worthy whether in a basket for a birthday or a "just because" gifts. You all really rock and I am grateful God planted us in this community. I know this is a super long post and if you read this far thank you. I tried really hard to condense it.
Let's talk a little about our product. We only use ORGANIC GRAINS AND SUGARS. That way you all won't get any of that so called "enriched" type of flour. I have learned a lot more people than I thought have been eating gluten free because of those add in 😳 I also use a lot of organic inclusions when I can I will only serve what I feel comfortable serving my own family. We bake in small batches so that your items can be customized. If you would like just white chocolate chips in your cookies, or no cinnamon, or extra chocolate chips, or something in sourdough or not we have got you covered. Special orders will have to be made via (message or text). If you ever have any questions please reach out. Thank you so much for being part of our story 😊
