Our alumnae chapter aims to continue to enrich the lives of our members through KD. Though there are many changes in life, Kappa Delta remains with you. We are a sisterhood of women of all ages who share values of friendship and philanthropy. We continue to "strive for that which is honorable, beautiful and highest." Our members are women of all ages -- from recent graduates to longtime members -- living in the North Texas area. Most of our gatherings are in the Plano and Richardson area, with a wide variety of activities to encourage friendships and provide opportunities for philanthropy. At our September 17th International Friendship Month meeting at Laura Bagg’s home, members wrote personal notes to the Family Compass clients who will receive the diaper bags that RPKDAC members filled with infant and toddler supplies and a $25 Walmart gift card on October 8. This project was funded by a $5000 KiDs Grant awarded to RPKDAC by the Kappa Delta Foundation. The diaper bags were distributed at the Family Compass car seat distribution event on Thursday, October 13, where members Mabsie Bonnick, Annette Hall, Linda Maresca, and Neva Cochran assisted with distributing diaper and toddler bags and help Family Compass staff.

In August, under the direction of RPKDAC VP of Collegiate Relations, Rose Groce, members assisted Gamma Beta UNT collegiate members and Gamma Zeta TCU members by providing meals and snacks during Spirit/Work Week and recruitment; participated in mock recruitment to help collegians prepare for each round; and helped welcome new members to the KD houses on Bid Day.

On July 29, Rose Groce, Mary Bonnickk, Sarita LaCour, and Annette Hall exhibited their expertise in backpack stuffing at the Family Compass office for the children of families served by Family Compass, our local child abuse prevention philanthropy.

Then Annette Hall and Stephanie Hall volunteered for the Back to School celebration, where children enjoyed pizza and selected backpacks trimmed in their favorite color.

To Kappa Delta, the nautilus shell holds a deeply meaningful place in our hearts. Welcome back for a new year in Richardson Plano KD Alumni Chapter!

This year in our KD AC we are focusing on the lifelong journey of Kappa Delta sisterhood. We are looking forward to our membership gathering on August 29th and can't wait to share all the exciting events for the year with you. Be on the lookout for the Punchbowl Evite for the membership gathering soon.

In the meantime see below for paying for the annual membership dues. Your dues not only help with our sisterhood events, but helps support our local philanthropy of Family Compass, Girl Scouts in the DFW area and our local UNT and TCU KD chapters. If you pay your dues by July 15th, you will be entered in a raffle drawing for a beauty skincare package.
There will be more raffle prizes to come leading up to the membership gathering.

Celebrating at the Family Compass luncheon was such a special day filled with joy, purpose, and the best company. Being surrounded by such an incredible community made it even more meaningful and so much fun!

A huge congratulations to our very own RPKDAC member, Kay Walgren, for receiving the Guiding Light Award this year. So well deserved and so inspiring to witness! 💫
