SpitShine Guitars builds vintage style guitars, providing our customers with a link to their dream guitars of yesteryear. One key ingredient is our use of Nitrocellulose Lacquer. http://www.spitshineguitars.com
We use a specific brand of Nitrocellulose Lacquer that we feel is the closest modern equivalent to the old formula of the past. Most modern Lacquers have plasticizers and additives that pr

event their loosely named “Nitro” finish from aging in any way similar to that of the Lacquers of the 50′s and 60′s. Our choice of Lacquer (and the aging techniques that we have developed around it) gives our guitars an edge that most others will never have. We also age most of our guitars, so that they look and feel like instruments from the 1950′s and 60′s.
