To the Family and Friends of Irma’s Sweete Shoppe,
After 40 years of sharing the same desserts and recipes I made for my family, Irma’s Sweete Shoppe is closing. It is such a bittersweet moment.
In the last 40 years, my family and I have worked tirelessly for our community. Our sweets and desserts have been shipped throughout the USA and beyond! Our recipes are steeped in tradition and love, and it has been the honor of my life to know that my desserts and sweets have been a tradition for so many.
From the students that would come in every week to show me their report cards, to the families that order Thanksgiving catering year after year, to the schools, organizations and local businesses that knew that an Irma Sweet Shoppe basket was the right gift to give, I thank you wholeheartedly.
While we begin to transition, we are still offering breakfast, cakes, and a limited lunch menu.
We plan on closing by September 1, 2022.
On August 20, 2022, we will be holding an auction for the countless vintage items in our location.
Stay tuned as we provide more information.

Congratulations to PSJA Pathways Toward Independence/LIFE Program Student Nathan Guerrero for being hired at Irma's Sweete Shoppe!
Our PSJA Pathways Toward Independence Program (PSJA PTI) promotes the continued development of vocational training skills and/or functional independent living skills to assist special needs students ages 14 to 21 in becoming emergent adults in the community.
The PTI program allows students to develop employability skills and access post-secondary education. Students gain home and daily living skills, community involvement, access to adult agencies, as well as build personal and social relationships.
We welcome students living anywhere in the RGV and are still accepting students for the 2021-2022 school year!

Irma's Sweete Shoppe catered our Thanksgiving meal for our staff and volunteers at McAllen Pregnancy Center and I would highly recommend her. I was very impressed with their professionalism and the food was delicious and enjoyed by all. Thank you Irma for making our Thanksgiving feast a special one. Many blessings. Happy Thanksgiving!

Neither of my 2 gift orders were delivered, no call from this business to say why. 3 folks came to the phone to "help", with no resolution, "my brother will call you when he gets in and finds the ticket". This is not a great way to conduct business. I won't be calling this establishment again. What a big disappointment.
