Bakers tip: if you’re not crumb coating your cakes, you seriously should be! Crumb coating is placing a light layer of icing on the outside of the cake after stacking to trap in- you guessed it- the crumbs! This way no crumbs will make it into your beautiful final coat of icing.

In honor of #nationaldonutday I had to make an attempt at homemade donuts. What can I say? I “donut” wanna try frying them again lol. Def not my thing. They tasted great but weren’t as soft as I would have liked- something happened with the proofing. The baked ones- earl gray flavor- were awesome! 🤯🤯 and inspired by the famous Earl Gray donut from Starbucks Japan. What’s your fave donut? vvv
