Today I’m baking my first loaf since August. Back in July I announced I was slowly coming back after a few curveballs were thrown our way… and then, just a month and a half later on August 24th, I lost my Nana.
Losing her has been the hardest thing I’ve ever walked through. When she passed, everything in me just stopped.
Now it’s December, and this week I finally pulled out my starter again. Making this loaf feels bittersweet… a mix of missing her and feeling a little bit of healing at the same time. One day at a time I will get back into it. But for now it’s just for fun, while I build everything back up!
Thank you for being patient with me in this season. I’m not rushing anything. I’m just taking gentle steps forward, trusting God to carry me through. 🍞🤍
