Can’t say no when you’re too busy eating good food 👀

A coworker told a 104 year old resident at my work I grind my own flour- her response- “Well you just don’t see that anymore!” 😂

She is blissfully unaware of a revival- where many young men and women are going back to the “old” ways of connecting with their food. Not just with flour- but many are gardening, own livestock of all sizes and types, hunt, baking, canning, etc.

Valuable skills we lost over the course of two generations are making their return. How amazing is that?

❌Be flat as a plate

Sourdough bread should:

✅ Be dark golden brown or dark brown
✅ Have a clean score for rise
✅ Have a great rise

-Experience and consistently learning! I am completely self taught through the teachings of Maurizio Leo, James Bridges and my wonderful network of experienced sourdough baker friends!

-I use only organic ingredients- including organic bread flour and local organic wheat berries that I mill myself! Your bread has real nutrients compared to generic bread or bread made with standard all purpose flour.

Rye makes one of the best flavors in bread- bold, earthy and slightly malty make for an amazing flavor profile. This loaf was made with 30% freshly milled rye. It is by far one of my favorites!
