Hello Friends,

I’m reaching out for your support of a very important piece of legislature that relates to the cottage food industry in Georgia (myself and hundreds of other small business bakers). The bill, Georgia House Bill 398 (HB 398), has successfully passed the House and is now in the Senate.

This critical bill for the cottage food industry (i.e., home baker) offers greater economic opportunities. Foremost, bakers would be allowed to sell their products to retailers. Neighboring states, (especially Tennessee), already allow cottage bakers to sell to retailers.

Time is short. Things happen fast now as the close of the 2025 session is closing in on us and a vote on the bill in the Senate will be soon (I don’t know the date yet).

If you are a Georgia resident, please contact your state senator ASAP and let them know you would like them to support the bill.
